ABOUT the FACTORY

Factory? Maybe not so much...

I have always loved art, fashion, travel, vintage and antique items, and saving things and making the old new again. I recently purchased a second home in France and there I began attending fashion shows and importing fabrics, trims, antique linens, and beautiful bohemian clothing. I have also recently opened a physical location in an historical stone cottage in beautiful historic Elsah, Illinois.

Before college and law school I attended art school and have been creating things all my life. I began upcycling vintage boots in 2012 and opened an Etsy shop where I was the first boot maker of this kind. That store grew and grew. Here I am now, creating importing and selling things I would like to have myself!  I am very picky about the fabrics and fashions I use and sell and you will find that they are almost exclusively made of cottons, linens, and silk.
